Here is the documentation that was requested by Chris early in singing rehearsals. The group was given the task to write out all the sung lyrics you were assigned to including punctuations and share your explorations. This is what I’ve found:
Periods are complete thoughts/sentences; vocally, I cannot breathe between the phrase
Commas are used to continue thoughts; vocally I can breathe between
Capital Letters are used to emphasize words like for example “Thee” and “O’ God”
Phrasing of “O’ God” is not written to be sung in shock like “omg” but to address God himself
